COMMUNITY RESOURCES

    • Through collaboration with member districts, the SLV BOCES is the bridge to excellence in education. The SLV BOCES serves schools, families, and communities of the SLV by providing service, support, and leadership to promote student achievement and success in life for all.
    • The Colorado Southwest Region Title I-C (Migrant Education) Program is part of the SLV BOCES. This program supplements educational needs and supports services to children of migratory workers. Priority is assigned to students failing or at risk of failing to meet academic standards and/or whose education has been interrupted.
    • San Luis Valley Immigrant Resource Center – Voices of the Valley
    • The SLV Immigrant Resource Center received a grant from the Colorado Trust for Immigrant Integration in the San Luis Valley communities. The grant provided for a planning stage and now a four-year implementation of immigrant integration programs. This project is in progress in several communities in Colorado and each community has a unique integration plan.
    • Center for Restorative Programs
    • Formerly San Luis Valley VORP, the Center for Restorative Programs offers free mediation and other dialog-based interventions for youth-in-conflict (courts, schools, after-school sites, family-based). This intervention addresses delinquency, disciplinary issues, youth-to-youth conflict, truancy, and parent-teen issues.
    • The Colorado Trust
    • The Colorado Trust’s mission is to advance the health and well-being of the people of Colorado.
